Why Robotics Matters
Robotics is one of the few activities that combines engineering, programming, manufacturing, design, project management, leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving into a single hands-on experience. Students learn far more than technical skills—they learn how to collaborate, lead projects, manage deadlines, overcome challenges, and innovate.
These experiences prepare students for success in any career while creating pathways into Michigan's automotive, advanced manufacturing, technology, engineering, and skilled trades industries.
Our Mission-
The mission of the non-profit Grosse Pointe Robotics and Innovation Center is to educate, encourage, and inspire young minds to learn innovative science, technology, and engineering skills centered around robotics while fostering self-confidence, communication and leadership skills.
Our Vision-
The Grosse Pointe Robotics and Innovation Center will be a state of the art space that will inspire the next generation of young minds to learn about robotics and innovation in order to support the future economy of Michigan and beyond. The center will provide the space, resources, and mentors needed to help local robotics teams and related programs design, build, practice, learn and excel. These young minds can then build on these skills and use them as they grow and move onto their careers, aiding in Michigan’s path to grow our economy and lead the way in industries ranging from healthcare to national security, and everything in between.
